23 Nov CDC sponsor young snooker star
We are excited to announce that CDC have entered into a sponsorship arrangement with snooker player John Astley.
John Astley is a local young snooker talent who turned pro in 2013. He earned the Rookie of the Year award after some impressive performances during his debut season on the main tour in 2013/14, including a win over Ken Doherty at the UK Championship.
He made a strong start to the 2016/17 season, including a run to the quarter-finals of the Riga Masters and the last 16 of the Indian Open, beating the likes of Joe Perry and Ryan Day in those two events.
Outside of snooker John has starred in a theatre play called The Nap which ran at the Crucible theatre in Sheffield. He played the role of a snooker player in a comedy drama which also counted Jack O’Connell and Ralf Little among the cast.
We wish John best of luck for the UK Championship beginning on 22nd November and of course for the remainder of the season and will look out for his results with great interest.
